Vivek Oberoi throws kids' party for mother

Vivek Oberoi has thrown a children's party-themed bash for his mother's birthday.

The actor reportedly organised the event because his mother Yashodhara had never had a birthday celebration as a child herself.

A source told Mid Day: "Vivek wanted to gift his mum something special - a children's party with balloons, clowns, treasure hunt - something Yashodhara had never enjoyed as a child."

The guest added that the party had been "amazing fun" with family and friends playing games such as pass-the-parcel.

Oberoi is close to his parents, who recently praised his decision to tie the knot with Priyanka Alva, who studied in the UK.

In 2009, he admitted that his mother was especially keen to see him settle down with a partner.
