Asin Thottumkal to star in '2 States'?

Asin Thottumkal is reportedly planning to sign up to Shah Rukh Khan's next film 2 States.

The actress is best known for her work with Shah Rukh's rival Salman Khan, with whom she has starred in London Dreams and Ready.

Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, a source said: "[2 States and Housefull producer] Sajid and Asin share a comfortable relationship and the actress was excited to be a part of the film, which not only features Shah Rukh but also will be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.

"She is currently out of town but is expected to sign the papers as soon as she lands back in the city."

2 States is based on the novel by Indian author Chethan Baghat, which deals with the trials faced by a young couple from different states in India who have trouble persuading their parents to let them get married.

His earlier novel Five Point Someone also inspired the Aamir Khan hit 3 Idiots.
