Rekha biopic to 'uncover mysteries'

Filmmaker Kapil Sharma has revealed that he plans to make a film about the life of the iconic Bollywood actress Rekha.

The director is considering asking her contemporary Sridevi, Bipasha Basu or Vidya Balan to take on the role, according to The Times of India.

He told the paper: "Yes, I am making a film on a controversial actress who has been an ex number one in the industry.

"I have been an industry kid and I want to unveil the mystery behind the actress. It is the journey of the actress, which is so interesting and colourful."

Rekha, 56, has long been admired for her ability to reinvent herself and was rumoured to have been involved in a scandalous relationship with married co-star Amitabh Bachchan in 1981.

Vidya Balan recently praised the actress for getting better-looking as she gets older.
