Abhay Deol to marry former Miss Great Britain

Abhay Deol is reportedly planning to get engaged to his long-term girlfriend Preeti Desai.

The couple will exchange rings in a private ceremony, according to The Times of India.

A source told the paper: "Abhay and Preeti have great compatibility. Both are impulsive, fun-loving people who love to travel and enjoy.

"They don't have a big circle of friends and they like it that way."

They added that the couple would wait until the mourning period for Deol's famous uncle Dharmendra's sister is over, before announcing their plans.

Desai was awarded the title of Miss Great Britain when it was taken from Danielle Lloyd in 2006, after she posed topless for Playboy.

However, it was returned last year by the controversial contest's organisers.

The British actress, who hails from Middlesbrough, recently made her Bollywood debut in the film Shor in the City.
