Angela Jonsson has denied that she has been given her first leading role in the sequel to 2005's Kya Kool Hai Hum.
The actress, who has been romantically linked with Ranbir Kapoor, was reportedly chosen over the more experienced Zarine Khan by producer Ekta Kapoor.
A source told the Mumbai Mirror: "[Producer] Balaji, after finalising Bipasha Basu for the first female lead, was on the lookout for the second.
"They had Zarine Khan and Angela Jonsson in mind for the role. Finally, Angela has been finalised for the same."
However, Jonsson's spokespeople denied that the rumours of the casting are true, and the filmmakers confirmed that they had not chosen either of the leads.
Jonsson, who won the national Kingfisher Calendar girl competition, has been spotted with Ranbir Kapoor, who only recently finished his relationship with model Nargis Fakhri.
