The Bollywood veteran will next be seen playing a colourful but grumpy old man in the upcoming Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap.
He told Mid Day: "He is a flamboyant kind of a character. So we got the designer to dress him accordingly.
"Most of the wardrobe is my personal stuff, like glares, jackets and jeans, etc. The scarves are designed by the designer."
The film sees Bachchan's 60-year old character having an on-screen romance with his former co-star Hema Malini.
However, the actor added that he was himself pleased about becoming a grandfather, following the announcement of his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai's pregnancy.
