The 34-year-old actor features in the magazine's 'Heroes of Philanthropy' list. Oberoi is one of four Indians and the only Bollywood star to have made it on the list.
Over the past ten years, Oberoi has been associated with various charitable foundations and causes, such as the Yashodhara Oberoi Foundation, Project Hope and Project Devi.
Earlier this week the actor participated in the Cancer Patients Aid Association fashion show.
Speaking on Twitter about the fundraiser, he said: "What a fantastic journey it's been, feels so good to say that in 9 years we at CPAA India have saved over 200,000 lives!
"All poor & helpless cancer patients who had no hope to live. I'm humbled and honoured to be a part of the CPAA India family!"
Oberoi, who was last seen in Rakta Charitra, has to date donated $3m and helped raise $25m to support education, health and disaster relief in India.
