Uday Chopra 'plans to quit Bollywood'

By
Uday Chopra has announced that he plans to leave the Bollywood film industry.

The 38-year-old actor used Twitter to tell fans that he is apparently retiring from acting once upcoming project Dhoom 3 is completed.

"Ok confession time...Dhoom 3 is my swan song... my last film... no I'm not giving up acting... quite the opposite, acting is giving up on me! (sic)" he posted.

Chopra, interacting with some of his 200,000 followers on the social networking site, added: "Ok I'm not in India... it's night where I am and I'm letting the wine hit me... so ask ur craziest questions and I'll answer... go!!!"

The second-generation Hindi film figure, who made his debut in Mohabbatein, has struggled to find work outside of family-run production house Yash Raj Films throughout his ten year career.

"I ask this hot chick at the bar if she will let me take a pic for Twitter and she gave me the weirdest look... now she thinks I'm some creep," he later informed his followers.

A seemingly inebriated Chopra then posted that he was ejected from the club where he had been drinking.

He wrote: "Ok They just kicked me out of the bar for taking my shirt off... I was just trying to impress the chick!!! Gosh!!!"

The third instalment in the Dhoom series is scheduled for release in December 2012.
