Shahid Kapoor 'sexiest vegetarian' over Amitabh Bachchan, Vivek Oberoi

Shahid Kapoor has won the title of PETA Asia's Sexiest Vegetarian for the second year in a row.

The famously strict vegetarian beat off competition from fellow Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi.

Shahid has previously spoken about the difficulties of sticking to his diet abroad.

During the filming of Badmaash Company in Bangkok, a source close to the actor revealed that the star was considering having his own personal chef because of fears that it would be too difficult to find enough vegetarian food in the city.

Shahid is famously behind former girlfriend Kareena Kapoor's conversion to vegetarianism.

The Kurbaan star and previous winner of the 2008 title refused to endorse chicken for a company recently.

Kareena also said that she wanted fans to become vegetarian based on her physical appearance in a bikini in a Yash Raj production.

Several stars in Bollywood are vegetarian for both religious and health reasons, with many promoting animal rights causes.

Dabanng star Sonu Sood recently posed shirtless for a PETA campaign promoting the healthiness of a meat-free diet.
