The actress, who is famous for starring in indie films, admitted that she was "initially confused" by the role.
Khan told The Times of India: "I play a tomboy whose ego has taken a beating after being dumped by her boyfriend. She is full of herself, is mad, has red hair, and wears bizarre clothes. She is not worried about anything."
The Paris-set romantic comedy co-stars Housefull 2 actor Shreyas Talpade.
Khan added that she is "happy in a way" with the development of her career but that there is "lots more to achieve" and she is "hungry for more".
The 32-year-old Oxford University graduate revealed that she is keen to star in South Indian films, but needs to know "the language" first.
In December, Khan made her British debut in Life Goes On, starring opposite her Bollywood veteran mother Sharmila Tagore.
Speaking to Digital Spy, she said: "[Life Goes On] has all of the flavours of an Indian film, it is just that the language we are speaking in is English."
Khan is currently also working on an official remake of the British film It's All Gone Pete Tong, in which she plays a hearing-impaired girl.
