Shah Rukh Khan has enlisted Dostana filmmaker Tarun Mansukhani to direct the final part of Ra.One.

According to The Hindustan Times, Khan did not have a good relationship with the original director Anubhav Sinha.

Khan had previously called upon Karan Johar to direct the romantic scenes between him and Kareena Kapoor, but the 38-year-old director was unavailable to shoot the remainder of the film.

"Karan told Shah Rukh that he is extremely busy at the moment with his own directorial venture Student Of The Year, which goes on floors next month. However, Karan provided him with an option," said a source.

"He told Shah Rukh that Tarun Mansukhani was very competent, had a great equation with Priyanka Chopra since his Dostana days and would be just right to take over the last schedule.

"Shah Rukh was very happy with Mansukhani's work on the last schedule. Mansukhani also shares a great equation with Kareena since the days of Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham, in which he had assisted Karan. For Ra.One, he shot a few scenes with Kareena as well."

However, Sinha dismissed the reports, saying: "Arre maulah. Mansukhani was helping SRK in the capacity of an executive producer."

Ra.One - billed as India's first superhero film - is expected to be released on October 26.
