In an interview with Simi Garewal on Simi Selects India's Most Desirable, Pinto described how she quickly moved into Hollywood society following the success of Slumdog Millionaire.
The actress said: "Of course, I was very starstruck. Anybody who would be in my position would have been starstruck. I had to train myself to be calm and composed if at all I saw Angelina Jolie walking down somewhere. It is difficult because it's like living in a fairy tale.
"The biggest celebrities whom you have adored and been a fan of are in front of you - it is difficult to not be in awe. I felt like Alice in Wonderland. I mean I never thought I would meet Mick Jagger."
When asked what she talked to Mick Jagger about, Pinto claimed: "I didn't say anything. See this is the thing, I don't know what to say. I just get very nervous and kind of retreated into my shell. I just said 'I love your music' and that's about it. Then I left."
Freida Pinto has denied that she shuns Indian films in favour of Hollywood, stating that she loves Bollywood.
