The pair, who play love rivals in the Sagar Ballary-directed project, allegedly argued during the early stages of filming, Mumbai Mirror claims.
"Shreyas started speaking to Tusshar's staff members and offered them jobs. Tusshar did not take this lightly and he made his displeasure clear to everyone on the sets," a source told the tabloid.
Kapoor and Talpade feature alongside Well Done Abba actor Minissha Lamba in the movie.
"Anyone who has seen the film says that they look as if they hate each other, however no-one knows that they actually do," added the source.
Kapoor and Talpade earlier appeared together in the comic hit Golmaal.
Previous reports claimed that Kapoor had fallen out with Hum Tum Aur Shabana's director after a delay in completing a night shoot in a Mumbai shopping mall.
Canadian R&B star Raghav has recorded the title song for the upcoming production.
