The actor, known as the "serial kisser", said that he keeps the religious occasion separate from his career.
Hashmi told DNA: "It's a very simple Eid. I go and pray in the mosque with my dad. Then a couple of guests come over. A grand menu of food is cooked at home.
"It's only family members, friends and guests who are close to the family will come and we will celebrate Eid together. Not anyone really from Bollywood."
Hashmi can currently be seen in the erotic thriller Murder 2, in which he plays a maverick former detective in Goa on the trail of a murderer.
He admitted in July that he has been too busy to celebrate his box office success with the latest instalment in the series.
Salman Khan was forced to delay Eid celebrations because of emergency surgery on his jaw, the Daily Bhaskar reports.
The Ready star said in a statement that he was feeling "sad" about being unable to celebrate the end of Ramadan with his family.
