Inbound planes were forced to circle the Thai capital as the crew of Rascals completed filming on the runway, Mid Day reports.
"We only had permission till a specific time to shoot at Bangkok airport's runway," said a production source. "However, a couple of scenes required a good number of retakes. As a result, the shooting time extended."
The climax of the David Dhawan comedy sees Dutt and co-star Ajay Devgn both dressed as Santa Claus, riding a motorbike down the runway.
"The airport authorities understood our predicament and were very co-operative in giving us extra time to wrap up the shoot," added the source. "Meanwhile, the incoming flights were asked to circle around for some time.
"Thankfully, we finished filming the required scenes without having to seek permissions for shooting for another day."
After a number of release date changes, and reported internal fighting among its cast, Rascals is scheduled to open October 7.
