The couple separated after a ten year relationship, but Basu claimed that she has no regrets over the break-up.
Speaking to The Times of India, the 32-year-old actress said: "I am getting lots of attention, and I must say I'm loving it all the way. Most of my co-stars are men, and yes, I'm getting a lot of attention from them."
The actress explained that the industry has seen her in a different light since the break-up.
"Yes, people are seeing me in a different way. It's different when you are single in this industry. As an actress, it makes a difference too. Your synergy levels with your co-stars are completely different. If people know that you're in a relationship, that too with a man from the same industry, they keep a safe distance."
Speaking about the end of her relationship with Abraham, the actress said: "It was definitely not amicable. No break-up is ever amicable. Otherwise, no one would break up."
The Dum Maaro Dum actress, who has been linked to co-stars including Josh Hartnett and Shahid Kapoor, went on to say: "I believe everything negative that happens in your life is for a positive reason.
"If your heart breaks, you know that you are a human being and it happens. But you can't mope over it. There's only one life. The time was right to end it. No regrets over it."
Abraham and Basu collaborated in films including Goal and Jism during their relationship.
