The actor also discussed his recovery following recent surgery to treat a nerve disorder.
"They were looking for something else, but they found an aneurysm. There was a problem from the spine. Everything is okay, but right now I'm tired because of the flight and the surgery," he explained.
Talking about the success of Bodyguard in the UK, the 45-year-old actor said: "It's good. It makes me feel the opposite of when it's a disaster. Me and Kareena, all our films together have been a disaster - Kyon Ki, Main Aurr Mrs Khanna - so we took it as a challenge to make this film a hit. The reason it's a hit? Because you guys watched it."
When asked who he would like to be a bodyguard for in real life, the actor said: "Let's make it spicy. Katrina Kaif."
Speaking to Digital Spy, Khan said he had a strong relationship with his fans in the UK.
"Seriously I love you guys. You guys have been incredible. Twenty years I've been coming to the UK. It's been a very long connect. Even with the worst films they turn out Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I hope you'll keep coming."
Bodyguard has grossed £1million in the UK since its release. The film also had the highest opening ever in India.
