The Pakistani singer-turned-actor revealed that he is open to doing more action-orientated projects, The Times of India reports.
Zafar said: "A physique can and will be developed according to a film's requirement.
"I want to be an action hero and do something unusual and conceptual. I love sci-fi stuff."
The Mere Brother Ki Dulhan actor recently announced his third Bollywood film project, which will be shot across three international locations.
Zafar added that he hopes to create his own identity within Indian cinema.
"I don't want to copy anyone," he said. "I love Bruce Lee because he brought his own identity into his films. He wasn't aping anyone. As did Jackie Chan and Indian actors like Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan."
