Shah Rukh Khan: 'Journalists keep creating controversy'

Shah Rukh Khan has admitted that he is angry about media speculation surrounding the stars of his upcoming film Ra.One.

Priyanka Chopra appears for a brief cameo in the movie, in which Kareena Kapoor plays the lead female role.

Khan told Hindustan Times: "I'm really on a short fuse these days. I was asked why Priyanka and Sanjay Dutt were not present at Ra.One's music launch when they've done cameo appearances in the film.

"I was like, why can't you look at the fact that Kareena is here? At least respect her, if not me. Why do you always have to look for controversies?"

Khan added that he had been temperamental because of his stressful schedule for promoting what has been billed as India's first superhero sci-fi film.

He said that he plans to "gift myself a new car" after the movie's release, adding: "I've been wanting to do that for a while."

Khan said last week that he also plans to give up smoking after the film opens in cinemas.
