The Aarakshan actress was a model before making her acting debut in Aishwarya in 2006.
She told One India: "Right from the time you land in the city, the venue, fitting, session, interacting with models, designers, buyers. I miss the whole buzz of these hectic five days of fashion week."
The star also admitted that she does not look forward to her film releases as much as she had looked forward to modelling.
"On a Friday morning, when my movie is releasing, I get really anxious and nervous," she said. "If a movie doesn't do well, you do get disappointed, because you have put in your best efforts."
Aarakshan co-star Saif Ali Khan recently described the actress as one of his favourite women to work with in the industry.
He said: "I must say there are only four major leading ladies in Bollywood today.
"That certainly doesn't leave me with much choice. Deepika and I in four films... I certainly didn't engineer it. It just happened."
