The terrorism-themed project, from actor-director Shubh Mukherjee, has undergone a series of cuts over the content of its promotional songs.
"Seven out of nine promos got rejected by the censor board, which made me lose out on an immense amount of promotional time," Mukherjee revealed to Digital Spy.
The comic satire focuses on the story of four Delhi boys, who - through a series of misunderstandings - are mistakenly believed to be terrorists.
The Nakshatra star said that despite the cuts, the original videos would be available to watch on other platforms.
"All songs will have an original uncut version that will be uploaded online," Mukherjee explained.
The Indian censors were criticised earlier this year for not making cuts on the controversial 'DK Bose' track from Delhi Belly.
Like Shahid Kapoor, trained dancer Mukherjee had worked with the Shiamak Davar Institute for the Performing Arts, before entering the film industry.
Shakal Pe Mat Ja releases November 4.
