Anupam Kher to star alongside Robert De Niro

The veteran Indian actor has already starred in films outside of Bollywood, including Bend it Like Beckham and Bride and Prejudice, and described securing his new role as a "dream … coming true".
The Silver Linings Playbook also stars Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Tucker and Julia Stiles.
Soon after the actor made the announcement, congratulatory messages poured in for Kher from his Bollywood peers.
Mahesh Bhatt wrote on Twitter: "I am proud of Anupam Kher! What a journey it has been for him. The Saaransh hero is now acting opposite Robert De Niro in The Silver Lining."
Abhishek Bachchan said: "well done AK. CONGRATULATIONS."
Kher has a number of acting institutes in India, and it was announced last year that he plans to launch a drama school in New York.
