The Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year star was last seen in Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji.
Padamsee told The Times of India: "I was drawn to Hindi movies very early in life. I am very comfortable working with the Bollywood guys, I feel like one of them.
"I don't want to sign random movies. I do consult my dad, but the final decision is mine."
Padamsee also said that she is content to stay in mainstream cinema, adding: "I was lucky to work with Ranbir [Kapoor] in my first film. Then I started getting lot of offers after Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji and now I am very happy to get to work in Housefull [2] as it will help me expand my canvas.
"At present, I would like to do just commercial, mainstream cinema."
In May, the actress signed up for Housefull 2, the sequel to the hit ensemble comedy that stars Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan.
Director Sajid Khan gave each member of the cast of the original film a letter promising that the movie would be the biggest hit of their careers.
