The actor-turned-television host has kept the concept of the upcoming programme under wraps from the media.
A source told Mumbai Mirror: "It is a norm in the TV industry that first a pilot is shot and edited and showed to the people concerned for proper feedback. Aamir did the same thing and showed it to his close friends and staff to get their reaction.
"He was told that he is getting too emotional which [does] not [reflect] too well. Aamir took this advice seriously. He has now asked his creative team to re-work on the emotional quotient of the show."
The insider added: "The launch episode will be aired across all channels of the network, making it the biggest show of recent times.
"Hrithik Roshan's dance show got coverage on two channels of a network, but Aamir's will get coverage in over eight channels."
The only facts known about the show are that Khan's wife Kiran Rao is involved and that it is being produced at his house in Panchgani.
Khan will join a host of actors including Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar who present television shows.
In August, Roshan said that he plans to personally mentor all the students who appear on his reality contest Just Dance.
