The show, titled Love 2 Hate U, brings fans face-to-face with the actors they criticise.
"My new show is going to be very interesting. It deals with people who make opinions about actors. Just like people are crazy about Bollywood actors, there are some who totally hate them. So it is just my attempt to bring them face-to-face with the actor they hate and help them change their mind," Rampal told IANS.
The actor feels the increase in social networking has meant people now express their views on actors and films more visibly.
"There are so many social networking platforms - Facebook, Twitter and blogs - where opinionated people vent their opinions. Most of the time, they are strong and justified opinions... so it will be interesting to see when such people meet the person they are so fond of (I mean that sarcastically)," said the Ra.One star.
The former model was himself written off by the public as wooden and expressionless after his early releases, but projects such as Om Shanti Om, Rock On!! and Raajneeti turned public opinion in his favour. He recently received rave reviews for his performance as Shah Rukh Khan's nemesis in Ra.One.
"I faced quite a lot of criticism at the beginning of my film career," Rampal said. "People made an opinion about me too fast. But once some of them met me, they were able to change that opinion about me.
"I hope that through my show, people go through a similar experience and are able to change their opinions about actors, because each one of us works very hard."
The Om Shanti Om star has previously appeared on the small screen as a judge on dance reality show Nach Baliye 4.
