The actor said that her current release Loot will be her last ever film project, NDTV reports.
"I am very happily married. Luckily and happily, Loot is the last of my terrible film career," said the actress.
Sharma now divides her time between Kenya, Dubai and Mumbai, the film production capital of India.
"So it's farewell to Bollywood. My message to Bollywood, see you later, Beautiful," said the former-model.
A number of Sharma's co-stars from her debut production Mohabbatein have also publically announced this year that they are quitting the film industry.

Shamita Shetty, younger sister of Shilpa Shetty, also recently exited Bollywood, relocating to the UK to study interior design in Kingston.
