The actor will be seen alongside Akshay Kumar as a pair of Oxford graduates forced by the recession into becoming pole dancers in Rohit Dhawan's directorial debut.
Abraham told The Times of India: "Desi Boyz is no Dostana, and has a place of its own. There is no gay scene. It's a fun film, full of drama and fun. We call it a dramedy."
The former model starred with Abhishek Bachchan in Dharma Productions' Dostana, in which they pretended to be a gay couple in order to rent an apartment with Priyanka Chopra.
After a number of cast changes, the London-based film will now feature Deepika Padukone as the female lead.
Abraham and Padukone are said to have briefly become an item during the UK schedule of the production.
Desi Boyz is due to be released on November 25.
