Bachchan family gather in anticipation of new arrival

The Bachchan family have gathered in anticipation of the impending arrival of a new addition to the family.

There has been a great deal of speculation around Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's pregnancy, and she was apparently due to deliver on November 11.

NDTV reports that Aishwarya was seen arriving at The Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai yesterday where she will be admitted for delivery. However, a statement from her spokesperson revealed that she was at the hospital for a check-up and left after that.

Amitabh Bachchan tweeted: "The family gathers together from all over as we wait for the 'arrival' ... Greatest joy for me - a full house and the 'chahel - pahel.'

On Friday night, Amitabh's Twitter timeline was jammed with messages congratulating him on the birth of Aishwarya's apparent baby boy.

"Getting congratulatory messages on Aishwarya delivering a boy !!! Guess they know more than even she does !! False and incorrect news," Bachchan confirmed.

Aishwarya's husband, Abhishek, replied to a fan on Twitter who asked about the pregnant actress, saying she's "out and about".

Amitabh announced that his daughter-in-law was pregnant on Twitter in June.
