Ranbir Kapoor: 'Don't compare me to the Khans'

Ranbir Kapoor has said that he does not want to be compared to Bollywood veterans such as the Khans.

The actor has received praise for his performance in Rockstar.

He told Hindustan Times: "You can't take my name in the same breath as the Khans [Aamir, Salman, Shah Rukh]. They are so senior to me. I'll be the happiest if I reach even a fraction of where they are."

Kapoor, 29, added that he had received the most praise from his famous acting family.

"My mum watched the film five times. My dad, who is my harshest critic, told me that if he could make one phone call to his father, the legendary Raj Kapoor, it would be to say how proud he is of my performance in Rockstar."

In October, Kapoor said that he eventually wants to direct and produce films like his late grandfather Raj.
