Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone has been asked by Mahesh Bhatt to play the main role in Murder 3.
The actress, who joined the Bigg Boss house at the weekend, will star opposite Rahul Bhatt in the latest instalment of the series, Hindustan Times reports.
"Mahesh Bhatt wanted to launch his son Rahul opposite Sunny Leone in a film titled Blue Film," a source revealed.
"At the time, Leone had no intentions of making a Bollywood debut. She had turned down the offer back then."
Leone, who has been a trending topic on Twitter in India throughout the week, announced her Bollywood ambitions when she flew in to Mumbai several days ago.
Rahul Bhatt, who previously featured in an earlier series of the Colours reality show, explained: "About the project being revived now, I am not denying it. But you will have to ask my father. I am a big fan of Leone."
Jacqueline Fernandez replaced Mallika Sherawat in the second film in the Murder series.
