Amitabh Bachchan 'taking break for granddaughter'

Abhishek Bachchan has revealed that his father Amitabh is to take care of his new daughter when he returns to acting.

The Bollywood veteran described himself as "jobless" to journalists before being corrected by his son, DNA reports.

Abhishek said: "No, he is not jobless, he is on full-time duty. He has to take care of his granddaughter!

"I don't want to take just one, but in fact all [Amitabh's] qualities as a dad. I remember, dad was always there... be it our doctor's appointment, or the first day of school, or open house and so on. He was always there for us and I too want to be there for her always."

In August, the Drona star decided against taking extended paternity leave in order to return for the filming of action thriller Dhoom 3.

The shoot of the sequel was to be postponed to allow the actor to spend more time with his daughter after birth.
