The veteran star acknowledged, however, that he is eager to start work on more films.
"Keen now to get back to the camera and the lights and the filming ... but not satisfied with the projects offered .. soon shall!" the actor posted on Twitter.
Bachchan, who recently described himself as "jobless", quoted a number of tweets related to work on Friday.
"The world is full of willing people, some willing to work, the rest willing to let them," posted Bachchan, also adding: "The better work men do is always done under stress and at a great personal cost."
The BBC Star of the Millennium is said to be using this time to assist with childcare duties with granddaughter "Beti B".
