The actress appears in the sequel to the action thriller alongside her Aarakshan co-star Saif Ali Khan.
Padukone told Hindustan Times of the sex scene: "It's just a part of the film. And I don't think there is any need to sensationalise it. After all, it comes with the script. I don't treat it differently from any other scene in the movie.
"What I am most excited about is that I have finally started shooting for Race 2. I don't know. I was required for five days initially, which I have already done."
However, co-star Khan denied that there are any romantic scenes between himself and Padukone in the film.
The actor has reportedly been concerned about press speculation over his relationship with the Dum Maaro Dum star.
In August, Padukone said that she especially enjoyed working with Khan as she felt "comfortable" with him.
