Nargis Fakhri 'wants to do solo projects'

Nargis Fakhri has reportedly turned down a big-budget international project because it stars established Bollywood actresses.

The New York-born former model made her debut this year opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Rockstar.

A source told The Times of India: "Nargis is listening to a lot of scripts, but she hasn't said yes to anyone yet. Her condition is that she only wants to do solo projects. She's said no to all the films with more than one actress."

Fakhri has reportedly moved to Mumbai to pursue an acting career full-time after giving up modelling.

In November, she told a press conference: "I was at a point where I didn't like modelling anymore. I'm an artist at my heart so I paint, I draw, I sculpt. I felt like I was blank canvas.

"And this came along. It was tough, it was painful, but I think it's all worth it. It was a whole other ball game. You go from smiling and wearing bikinis on the beach to surrendering, trusting and letting go. But I had to do all of that."
