The 37-year-old actress has a 6-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son.
She told The Times of India: "I think it is a challenge every day because you want to be a good mother, you want to be a good parent, you are learning everyday and it's a new experience every day. Absolutely, it is the best thing in this world - being a mum is just the best thing ever.
"Just like any mum, I had read a lot of books, then of course you ask your own mum and you get a lot of tips. But frankly, my opinion is that nothing can prepare you for motherhood."
Kapoor added: "You know, when you hold your baby in your arms, it is a totally different feeling. So, nothing can really prepare you for that."
The star and sister of Kareena Kapoor is making her Bollywood comeback with the film Dangerous Isshq.
Kareena, 30, recently said that the inspiration for her upcoming role in Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine was her older sister's experiences in Bollywood.
