The actress, who has received plaudits for her bold portrayal of South Indian siren Silk Smitha in The Dirty Picture, previously described herself as the female Aamir Khan.
On being asked whether she is indeed the industry's female Khan, Balan told NDTV: "Well, the Khans can now add Balan at the end of their names, instead of me adding Khan to my name."
On being described as the female version of 'serial kisser' Emraan Hashmi, the Paa star said: "The idea is not bad. If girls are trying to outdo boys in all areas then why not in this way too."
The Dirty Picture had faced a ban in Pakistan because of its controversial depiction of Smitha's life, but has since been cleared for release in the country by the Central Board of Film Censors in Islamabad.
Balan was also the subject of a criminal case over allegations of indecency in relation to the film.
