Shaurya Chauhan is to take the lead in the action sequel Krrish 2.
The reality television host and DJ was chosen after several well-known actresses turned down the role, according to Mumbai Mirror.
A source told the paper: "The Krrish team was looking for a sexy actress to join the cast. Shaurya is already known as the feisty stunt girl in the industry due to her stint as a host of a reality television show.
"The Krrish makers have asked her to get into an extreme workout regime. They have also enrolled her for three months of gymnastic training."
Chauhan has previously made an appearance in the romantic comedy Right Yaaa Wrong.
In June, star Hrithik Roshan confirmed that he will be playing a triple role, as the lead, his father and his son, in the film.
The actor will next be seen in the remake of Yash Johar's 1990 film Agneepath.
