The 1965 film saw Anand star as Raju, a tourist guide, alongside Waheeda Rehman and classic musical score by Sachin Dev Burman.
Speaking about the decision to re-release the film, Dev Anand's son Suneil told PTI: "An American company has restored Guide. It's being converted to wide screen and we will do a fresh soundtrack, maybe in the Czech Republic.
"It's a big, big responsibility. The world is watching me. I will have to live up to their expectations."
Anand's funeral was held in London last week and his ashes were immersed in the Godavari River yesterday. A memorial service for the actor was later held at Mumbai's Mehboob Studios.
Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Ashutosh Gowarikar were among the stars who attended the memorial to pay their final respects.
