The former model makes his Bollywood debut in the follow-up to the action film Don: The Chase Begins Again.
He told Hindustan Times: "Priyanka has been very helpful. Though I had understood the crux of my character, a seasoned player like Priyanka can really help with her insightful inputs.
"She assisted in drawing and building my character in her own way. As a performer, you draw up an outline for your character. But when an experienced person gives an input, you feel like, 'Arrey haan [oh yes], I can use this to my advantage'. And in that sense, Priyanka was always helpful."
The star added that he intends to focus mainly on acting despite continuing to model.
"Don 2, for me, is the Indian equivalent of a Bond or Mission Impossible film. It's a dream come true. Also, with people like Farhan Akhtar and Shah Rukh Khan in the film, things don't get bigger than that."
Don 2 director Farhan Akhtar admitted that he had been apprehensive about making the sequel, which sees Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan reprise their roles from the first film.
