Shah Rukh Khan says he doesn't think Vidya Balan needs to add Khan to her name.
The actor was responding to statements made by producer Ekta Kapoor, who said Balan should be referred to as Khan after single-handedly carrying her film The Dirty Picture.

According to The Times of India, the Don 2 star was the only Khan who had reacted to the comments, stating, "If Vidya Balan gets married to me, I won't mind... putting her surname after my name.
"Talent, hard work has no name. Success has no name. Vidya has achieved what she has because of her talent. Why should we give her any names to add to hers? Why should we call her Khan?"
Balan has also suggested that the Khans should add Balan to their name as a mark of success and described herself as the female Aamir Khan.
The actress received plaudits for her performance as South Indian star Silk Smitha in The Dirty Picture.
