Emraan Hashmi takes first break in two years

Emraan Hashmi has reportedly taken his first break from filming in two years.

The actor was unable to celebrate his success with The Dirty Picture because he was forced to shoot the rest of his next movie straight afterwards, according to DNA India.

A source close to the star said: "After completion of The Dirty Picture, Emraan was whisked away to Delhi for the outdoor shooting schedule of Jannat 2. He couldn't make it to the success party because of Jannat's outdoor schedule in Delhi."

Hashmi has decided to suspend all his work activities for the holiday period in order to spend time with his family.

"He is taking a break after two years. He never had an off during Christmas," said the insider.

"But this time, he had planned it much in advance and he is not returning to work before ringing in the New Year with his family. He hasn't spent time with his wife and son for a long time now."

In July, Hashmi admitted that he had been unable to take a holiday after Murder 2 because of his busy shooting schedule.
