Priyanka Chopra did not delay 'Barfee' shoot, says Anurag Basu

Anurag Basu has denied that Priyanka Chopra delayed the Barfee shooting schedule.

The actress had reportedly taken time out of the shoot in November to record her forthcoming album, inconveniencing her co-star Ileana D'Cruz in the process.

Basu told Hindustan Times: "I don't know why and where such stories come from. The fact is that Barfee was always slotted for a post-IPL [Indian Premier League] release and we are on course to meet that deadline.

"I also read reports of how Priyanka only shot for six days. But the truth is that we were supposed to shoot with her for just six days. Later, we had to shoot with Ileana D'Cruz. So, where's the delay?

"So, there are few common dates required. Priyanka has, in fact, given her 100% for the film. She has given all the time for workshops too. And whenever I asked Priyanka to make time for practice sessions, she always obliged."

It was recently reported that Chopra had invited D'Cruz to a private screening of her latest film.
