The actor takes on the lead role played by Amitabh Bachchan in the 1990 original.
Roshan told DNA India: "It is not in my hand. We are doing everything possible to make the film a success. I don't believe in an image change. I only do films that I like and never think whether or not a movie will change my image.
"In case of Agneepath I feel it is the hardest film that I have done ever - especially the climax scene. I can't talk much about it; you all must go and see it."
The 38-year-old revealed this month that he had to slim down after putting on weight when he was incapacitated with a slipped disc.
In September, it was reported that Karan Johar's trailer for Agneepath had reached over 1 million hits in a week.
