Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor to host 57th Filmfare Awards

Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor have been confirmed as hosts of the 57th Idea Filmfare awards.

Delhi Belly star Imran Khan was approached to compere the show, but declined the invitation as he will be in New York.

A source told the The Times of India: "Yes, Ranbir and Shah Rukh will be hosting Filmfare this year. The script hasn't been finalised as yet."

Bollywood stars gathered at the nomination party for the awards last Friday. Attending the event were Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Juhi Chawla, Tusshar Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali.

Khan, who is in the race for the 'Best Actor' trophy for Don 2: The King Is Back, told NDTV: "Awards are very important. Insha Allah, whichever film gets the award I will be very happy."

The Ra.One star walked away with the 'Best Actor' trophy last year for his performance in My Name Is Khan.

Other nominees in the 'Best Actor' category include Ajay Devgn (Singham), Amitabh Bachchan (Aarakshan), Hrithik Roshan (Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara), Ranbir Kapoor (Rockstar) and Salman Khan (Bodyguard).

Speaking to reporters at the event, Ranbir Kapoor said he was confident about his performance in Rockstar.

"It feels good I got an opportunity to work with Imtiaz Ali," he said. "We have made Rockstar from the heart."

The 57th Idea Filmfare Awards will be held at Film City, Goregaon on January 29.
