Shan directs and stars in the project, which is described as a stylish and unnerving Hindi romantic thriller.
The TV presenter told Digital Spy: "7 Welcome to London is a first-of-its-kind British film made in Hindi. We are not claiming it to be a Bollywood film even though it has the influence of all the classics whether it is DDLJ or a Don 2."
Shan went on to say that although the production is aimed at a mainstream audience, fans of Bollywood would equally enjoy watching it.
"I strongly believe this is the start of a new era for British talent, whether Asian or not. Our target audience is universal, but Bollywood film lovers will also be thrilled upon watching this. Money-back guarantee," added the former Mr Asia UK winner.
The film noir-meets-Bollywood production centres around the struggles of a young immigrant from Delhi, who feels that London will allow him to fulfil his aspirations, until one phone call changes his life forever.
Distributor Joe Mirza, Managing Director at Bollywood Films, commented: "This film is set to break new grounds in home grown talent and caters to our solid Bollywood loving audience."
7 Welcome to London is scheduled to release March 9.
