Hrithik Roshan's 'Agneepath' breaks first day box office records

The film is said to have beaten the record set by Shah Rukh Khan's 2011 sci-fi project Ra.One.
"The film, which stars Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt, Priyanka Chopra and Rishi Kapoor, made Rs. 25 crore on its first day at the box office, January 26, 2012. This is an all-time record," stated trade analyst Komal Nahta.
The production had earlier broken records for views of Katrina Kaif's Chikni Chameli music video.
Releasing the film on India's Republic Day is said to have contributed to its commercial success.
Agneepath released worldwide on Thursday.
