The Shah Rukh Khan starrer is still running in some territories, two years after its theatrical release.
Johar posted on his Twitter account: "MNIK is 2 years old 2day and is still running in a cinema in Honk Kong!!! It's a film that is truly special to me...in many ways..."
The 2010 movie previously held the record for the highest-grossing overseas Bollywood film, recovering its initial investment within three days of hitting the box office.
My Name Is Khan released February 12, 2010. The movie stars Bollywood icon Khan as an autistic man who, in the aftermath of 9/11, travels across America to win back his wife Mandira (Kajol).
Johar has already released two new projects this year, Agneepath and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. His next release is the college-themed production Student Of The Year.
