The voice behind 'Nimbooda' from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and 'Tum Ko' from Rockstar will be joined by members of her performing family at the event.
"I am very happy and honoured to be part of the Alchemy festival," she revealed. "The special thing about this concert will be my collaboration with talented UK musicians and working more towards an unplugged feel to my songs.
"I will be singing mainly my Bollywood hits, but I shall also perform some fusion compositions with my husband Dr L Subramaniam and my son Ambi Subramaniam, which makes it all the more exciting."
Violinist Ambi Subramaniam, who has received praise from actors Shah Rukh Khan and Farhan Akhtar, said: "I'm extremely honoured to be performing at the South Bank for the Alchemy Festival. London holds a special place in my heart because it was where my first CD was recorded."
Dr L Subramaniam, the music composer of Mira Nair's Salaam Bombay and Mississippi Masala, said that he is looking forward to taking part in the festival.
"It promises to be an exciting evening with a number of new collaborations from artists across the globe and the youth of the UK. London is always a place great to perform at, and a great place to innovate," he declared.
Coronation Street star Shobna Gulati is to work on a Bollywood film project as part of the festival.
British R&B singer Arjun will perform on stage on April 14.
The festival runs from April 12-22 at various venues at the South Bank Centre, London.
