The I Hate Luv Storys actor suggested that certain stories are deliberately kept out of the public domain.
Writing for his Hindustan Times column, Khan explained: "We settle our differences privately.
"Despite the extremely close and symbiotic relationship we share with the media, there are some opinions that are never shared with them. Some disputes that are never admitted."
The actor stated that infighting between Hindi film celebrities should stay out of the media.
"The greatest offence is taking your fight public, and including 'outsiders'," said Khan. "Our business, like all others, is built on personal relationships. If your word means nothing, if people's trust in you is betrayed… you'll soon find yourself out in the cold."
The nephew of Aamir Khan went on to add that for the first two years he did not feel part of the film industry.
Despite a successful debut with Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, Khan's next releases Luck and Kidnap underperformed at the box office.
The actor was last seen with Kareena Kapoor in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu.
