The Players actor is expected to appear in the forthcoming movie from Bollywood make-up artist-turned-filmmaker Deepak Sawant, according to IANS.
"Abhishek had asked me as to why I am not casting him in my film. The offer to work Bhojpuri cinema came from Abhishek himself. All I can say is that Abhishekek will be a part of our upcoming Bhojpuri film," said Sawant.
"We have a film in place titled Ganga Ramji. It is a political movie. It is about how a third person, say a politician, gets benefit from the fight between two politicians."
Sawant, who was Amitabh Bachchan's make-up man for 40 years, has already worked with the legendary actor on Bhojpuri films Ganga, Gangotri and Gangadevi.
Sawant's forthcoming release Gangadevi stars Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Dinesh Lal Yadav and Gulshan Grover.
Sawant said he was keen to work with Aishwarya Rai or Katrina Kaif on the movie.
"I had earlier approached Aishwarya Rai for the lead role in Gangadevi but due to her pregnancy she couldn't do it," he said.
"Later, I approached Katrina Kaif for this film but she had date problems. Finally this film was Pakhi Hegde."
He added: "I will make sure [Abhishek] plays a prominent role in the film."
Bachchan recently said that he prefers acting in Hindi to English.
